FAQ's

There are a lot of frequently asked questions concerning the Salsafestival. We thank you for having a look at this page before writing/calling us.

When will the Workshop-schedule be announced?
Our workshop programm contains more than 80 workshops and takes therefore some time to produce. We usually publish a provisional schedule for your orientation as soon as possible.

I recently started with Salsa. Is there a beginner course?
We offer all different Salsa levels in our workshops. We recommend the classes of the regular workshop schedule from 4 months of Salsa experience.

I can't dance Salsa so far. Can I join the festival, too?
Of course! First of all, there's a lot to see and discover anyway. Furthermore we offer a crashcourse where you learn the first steps of Salsa and then go directly to the Saturday party.

Is there a pre-party?
Yes, there is a prepary on Thursday, 25th February. The location will be the Bananenreiferei, Pfingstweidstrasse 101, 8005 Zürich.

Where is the after-party?
All after-parties will be in the Kongresshaus.

Which hotels can you recommend us?
You'll find our recommended hotels on the appropriate site of our homepage.

In which hotel are the artists accomodated?
The artist hotel isn't announced yet because we haven't booked all the artist rooms yet.

Can I buy a day pass?
No, we don't sell day passes. Workshops and nights have to be booked seperatly. The only passes we offer are the "Full Pass" and the "Party Pass". For pass holders the preparty of Thursday is included.

The cash box and registration offices open at 8 p.m. in the evening and at 10:30 a.m. in the morning.

Do I get a ticket in advance?
No, we don't send physical tickets. As many guests come from abroad the physical delivery is often unsafe and pretty expensive. Every guest receives a reservation number.

Can I pay with Paypal?
Of course this is possible. Just choose the option "invoice" when ordering your ticket.

Can I change money at the Kongresshaus?
There's a possibility to change USD and EUR to CHF at the VIP Desk in the entrance hall. However, we recommend to change enough Swiss francs before you start your journey.

Unfortunately not.

Is there a catering or restaurant at the Salsafestival?
There is simple catering within the festival area. There are two restaurants in the same building: The Metropol and the Intermezzo. Furthermore there is a variety of different restaurants around the location. You'll get to the famous shopping lane "Bahnhofstrasse" in only 3 minutes on foot.
